I have named my cookbook of “Garlic Lovers Recipes“. The reason is that Garlic is probably the healthier condiment, and it is a member of the Lily family. But for no doubt, Garlic is one of the most important ingredients in all of the culinary arts.
When eaten raw, garlic has a powerful, pungent flavor. For that reason, it’s customary to cook it in some way before serving it, which mellows the flavor considerably. It’s generally used as a flavoring ingredient in recipes rather than as the main ingredient itself.
I love garlic, and you should love it as well. Its intense and unique flavor and aroma make it a mainstay of cuisines around the world, a nearly indispensable ingredient in just about every form of the world culinary.
Not only that. Garlic is proven to be one of the most important ingredients added to your food. It has at least 11 proven health benefits that you could be taking advantages of.
Scientists now know that most of its health benefits are caused by sulfur compounds formed when a garlic clove is chopped, crushed or chewed. Perhaps the most famous of those is known as allicin. However, allicin is an unstable compound that is only briefly present in fresh garlic after it’s been cut or crushed.
I am not going to tell you all the benefits of garlic. Instead, I want to go straight to the point and help you to start to use garlic in your diet. After I ordered this, I was really excited to receive a proper garlic press. Then I stopped…I’m legitimately EXCITED for a new GARLIC PRESS. I took some time to stop and reflect as I’m pretty sure this is the hallmark of an old person or just that I’m a little bit more dead inside. I took a good half hour to sit and contemplate where all the good years went and how my angsty teen years where I felt like I was misunderstood and alone were really the best years of my life.

I am armed with my new Pro presser Garlic Press! This is the sturdiest, best-made garlic press I have ever used. It works just like you see on TV cooking shows. Unfortunately, I have never had a press that replicated that effortless processing of garlic in real life, until now. The little basket (I call it the “anvil”) that holds the garlic is permanently attached, although it swings free of the sections with handles so it can be cleaned easily. I know it’s an overused term, but this tool is definitely professional grade.
Originally, I really liked the can opener. No Sharp edges and it opened every can without any problems.
I gave this 5 stars because it is a great can opener. But let me say, I mistakenly bought the model that comes with scissors. I had the mistaken belief that this can opener had a scissors sharpener on the back. My Mom actually owned an electric can opener like that years ago. On the back of the unit, it had a sharpener for knives and scissors. So as soon as I spotted the word ‘scissors,’ I assumed that it meant this unit also had a sharpener for scissors.
This was purchased for our mother who has pretty bad arthritis. when her old electric opener died went with this totally different style. at first, she was hesitant about using it. but now after a year and a half, she has stated on several occasions just how much it helps her on a near-daily basis. it has worked this entire time without a so much as a glitch. at some point this will wear out, all appliances do but when that time does come it will be replaced with the same model or one as close to it in design as we can find.
This is the best electric can opener I’ve ever owned. It’s smooth, easy to use and it cuts the entire top off of a can(not just the lid). The only thing I DON’T use it for is opening cans of tuna. I use my Steel Can Opener (from Amazon) for tuna cans because I like to use the lids to squeeze down into the can to help drain all the tuna juice out of, which I give to our cats.
